Service · Solar Panel Cleaning

Cleaning solar is a revenue argument.

Soiled solar arrays lose 5–15% of their output every year. Drone-based cleaning restores efficiency for both commercial arrays and residential systems — without the foot traffic on panels that voids most manufacturer warranties.

What it is

Production restoration, delivered as maintenance.

Solar panels lose efficiency to soiling: dust, pollen, bird waste, agricultural residue, and the fine particulate that accumulates in the Southern California climate. The losses are real — typically 5–15% annually for unmaintained arrays, and significantly worse near agriculture, freeways, or coastlines.

Solar cleaning isn't a cosmetic service. It's a production restoration service. For commercial arrays on power purchase agreements or net-metering contracts, the cleaning pays for itself in recovered output. For residential systems, the same math applies at smaller scale — and we'll service homes and small arrays alongside our commercial work.

  • 5–15% typical efficiency loss. From soiling on unmaintained arrays.
  • De-ionized water cleaning. No abrasives, no chemistry, no warranty issues.
  • Zero foot traffic.Walking on panels voids most manufacturer warranties.
  • Recurring contracts.Quarterly or bi-annual cleanings, scheduled and locked in.

Why drone-based

Solar cleaning is what drones were built for.

Of all our services, solar panel cleaning is the one where drone delivery isn't a nice-to-have — it's clearly superior to the alternatives.

How it runs

Process — solar cleaning.

Step 01

Production Review

Where production data is available, we review pre-cleaning output to set a baseline for the post-cleaning lift.

Step 02

Access Plan

Roof or array access plan, weather window selection, FAA airspace authorization where needed.

Step 03

De-Ionized Cleaning

Soft-brush + de-ionized water cleaning via drone. No chemistry, no warranty risk.

Step 04

Lift Report

Before/after imagery and — where data is available — production lift estimates after a stabilization window.

Compliance

Warranty-aware cleaning.

What separates real solar cleaning from a contractor with a hose.

Cleaning a solar array incorrectly can void warranties worth more than the entire cleaning contract. Our protocol is designed to avoid that.

  • De-ionized water only — no mineral residue, no streaking, no residual buildup.
  • No high-pressure jets on panel surfaces — pressure rated for panel-safe cleaning only.
  • No abrasive media — soft brushes only, sized for the panel surface.
  • No chemistry on panel glass — chemistry is reserved for panel frames and surrounding hardscape only when specifically required.
  • FAA Part 107 on every flight; LAANC where applicable.
  • Manufacturer-aware protocols — methods cross-checked against major panel manufacturer cleaning guidance.
